I Smell Hot Glue

I have to confess...

I've been suffering from blogger burnout. It's a thing. I swear.

Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love to write and connect and resonate. It's all the other stuff that goes along with it that burns me out - the promotion, the social media, the maintenance, the html, the formatting, the photos, the things I should do,  the STUFF! It tends to suck the fun out of the writing part of blogging.

Anyway, when I start to feel the blogger burnout blues, I like to change things up. I haven't done a craft in a long, long time!

I smelled hot glue. I smelled candy. Yes, candy! And I think I got a little mojo back.

I'm not quite done but I can't wait to share it along with a spooky Halloween mantle I'm working on.

Did I mention that I kind of love this time of year?

Check the toes.

And here's a little preview of what I'm working on.

Happy October!

  1. Of course I saw that you mentioned hot glue and ran right over (I just posted a "Ode to my hot glue gun" on my site.) The craft looks really cool, I'm excited to see the mantle! I heart this time of year too.

    1. I wasn't aware that I had an ingrown. And I don't think I do. Maybe the lady giving the pedicure nicked me.

      But thanks for the concern?

  7. I hate the business end of blogging too. It takes the fun out of something that is enjoyable!! Crafting is a good pick me up :)

    1. It totally is! I'm thinking of maybe doing a candy crafting project once a week. It's so much fun and lifts my spirits.

  8. I can completely relate to your blogger burnout!
And I LOVE the toes!!! So cute! I did some football fingernails earlier this fall that I had seen on Pinterest! My little flag football player thought they were awesome (and my football coach hubby kinda liked them too!).
Can't wait to see your finished project!
