Snow, Bikes, Cupcakes, 5K's - Because I like opposites.

It was a short week here!

"A short week?" you ask.

Yes! It's called Rodeo Vacation. I thought you knew.

And that starts out my MOMMA CANDY of the week! If you're new here, Momma Candy of the Week is basically my recap of all the highlights of the week. It reminds ME to find all the "candy" or good stuff in my week.

In my neck of the woods we have this thing called RODEO VACATION. Ever since I was a kid we have always had the last Thursday and Friday in February off from school. We don't celebrate President's Day. But, you better believe we celebrate the rodeo! Yeehaw!

Confession: I've never been to the rodeo. It's a big deal here. The rodeo comes to town. There's a parade - been to that. But never to the rodeo. I'm not sad about it. We Southern Arizonans usually take this opportunity to get out of dodge. However, we stayed home this year and opted for play dates and time with the kids.

Still love these random, unnecessary days away from school so I can hang out and be lazy with the kids.

I don't know if I mentioned that it SNOWED here! Which never, ever happens! I may or may not have screamed like a little girl when it started to fall.

And it actually stuck around, kind of. There was enough to make a few snow balls at least!

I know all you snow-getters think we're crazy for going so cuckoo over snow. Yes, I was excited about it. But, I'm an Arizona girl. I like my heat. I couldn't deal with the snow for more than like two days. Max.

Believe it or not, before the freak snow storm rolled in, it was about 70 degrees outside. So I took Lola for a spin on her bike. She's getting so good!

Look at that determination!

She rides so fast but can't quite remember to watch where she's going. Picture a miniature person on a pink bike, pedalling as fast as she can, looking straight down. That's Lola.

I'm planning a cupcake party featuring Jamie-Cakes Bakery Boutique! It's tomorrow night and I can't wait! Last summer I attended one of these cupcake samplings and I was so impressed that, being a cupcake lover, I had to host one!

It was my lucky day when Jamie asked if I would review her cupcakes!
Um, it might be terribly difficult, but if I muster up the strength, I think I can rally.

Jamie Cakes Cupcake Party!

Rallying commences tomorrow at six. I'll let you know how it goes.

And totally opposite from the above mentioned candy, I said yes today. I said yes to participate in a 5K in two weeks with MyTeam Triumph. I'm writing it here to hold myself accountable. I've taken a serious leap off the exercise and eating right bandwagon and I've headed straight over to the donut box. Literally and figuratively. It has to change.

So I said yes today. Training starts Monday.

Getting back on the bandwagon. Breaking up with the donuts.

What the what?! I hit 200 followers tonight! My little blog was two months old last week and I wasn't prepared for 200 to come up and bite me. A more organized and seasoned blogger would already have a giveaway planned out well in advance. Not this blogger! I think this calls for a giveaway, though. I mean, I have to say thank you! I'm working on it so stay tuned!

I know for sure I want to start swapping buttons and ads and spit and...oh, it's not that kind of bloggy friendship? Anywho, that's my goal for my third month, just have to make some changes so I can properly showcase all that button candy.

I talk like I know what I'm doing.

And, thank you, Chloe from Rainbows and Honeysuckle for being my 200th follower!

What was your candy of the week!

I love all your comments, big and small! Unless they're mean. Nobody likes a meanie.

But, seriously, please leave a comment and let me know who you are! I like to know my readers like they know me! If you are a no-reply blogger, I'll do my best to comment here instead of through email. So check back on the comment form!

Hope your day is filled with sugar!
